Speaking with my son the other day, we somehow got on the subject of oil additives and I mentioned just how many different opinions were discussed on the forums. He said to me that I ought to mention a product I used with good results. Not wanting to promote an individual product, I have declined in the past, but with his suggestion, here it is.
Here is the testimonial page for the product with links to go further. You decide for yourself. I'll say no more.

Funny thing, just the other day at the track saw this on a T shirt. Had no idea.

I know lots of guys who swear by the Lucas stuff. Personally, it doesn't matter much to me, but I know they have been around quite a while, and have a great following.

If you do a google for Lucas Oil Additive tests, or just oil additive tests you might be able to pull one up that I was referred to appx. a year ago.

It was commissioned by a trucking firm who were thinking of purchasing Lucas oil additive for their fleet. After reviewing the test, I don't think they bought any.

Seems the marketing of Lucas Oil Additive is far superior to the capabilities of Lucas oil additive versus regular canned motor moil.

Motor oil is a carefully balanced blend of different compounds, designed to work together to give maximum protection to your car's engine. Additives upset this balance. Do they improve the oil? Maybe. Then again maybe not. Do you really want to take the chance that the companies that make these additives (and make millions from them) know better than those who make the oil, and who choose not to use them?
