Hello All,

I joined BCF today because I amt trying to decide if I actually want to take the plunge and buy a TR6. I have always loved the TR6 but never had the money or opportunity to buy one. I did own a 1973 Spitfire for a couple of years way back in 1978-79 and did a lot of work on it (rebuilt the motor) pretty much on my own. That was a fun car to drive. The TR6 has been in my mind since I retired a couple of years ago. I am still undecided whether or not I actually want to take the leap, but I'm not sure I want to do all the work that may come with it...:concern: I've been doing my research and looking at what is available out there. Lots of choices from fully restored to start from scratch. I will peruse this site and others to help me make up my mind. Thanks.

Mark

Welcome Mark,

You may also want to pose your question on the Triumph site here to see if any of the TR6 owners have insights as to whether this would be the choice for you. I know that when I had my TR3, this site was a great help to me for understanding what I needed to do to keep the car running, and I am a mechanical know-nothing.

No matter what you decide, I am sure you will find this site a great place to be. I sold my two British cars this past summer, and still plan to stay active here because of the friendships I made with other members of this site.

Enjoy the ride.

Mark - welcome to BCF. As Dave suggests, start a "Should I get a TR6?" topic over in the Triumph forum.

Dave - you sold *two* British cars last summer? I knew about the TR3b, but what was the other? Never knew you had two!
