Hello fellow enthusiast's! My name is Casey and I am from the west coast of British Columbia about 60 miles east of Vancouver. Been reading this forum for awhile now,and decided it was time to join.(better reading here than most mags)
I own a 1975 Tr6 which I've had for 17 years now.Purchased it Dec 89, drove it home and dissassemled the complete running gear.(engine,tranny,diff.,brakes, suspension,and bits in between) my theory....do it right once and enjoy.Spring of 1990 i did the body,interior,top,rechromed a bunch of bits including a few bits under the bonnet.
I now have 86000 miles driven since that time and yes I've gone thru a few clutches,replaced poor quality bits etc.but that's all part of it IMO.Mrs. and I just got back a couple week's ago from triumphest in Laughlin NV.3586 miles driven,roughly a 1000 miles of that in the rain.Only had one small problem and that I fixed in Vegas,(Golden Nugget parkade,choke cable came apart)
This was our 2nd laughlin trip inthe 6.It's been to San Diego,San Francisco,Sanjose,San Ramon Reno (10 times)Lake Tahoe (8 times ,yup, like those one armed bandits) plus the local show circuts. Best car i've ever owned,met many interesting people,some which I see here.Not to handy with a computor but I'LL try and get some pic,s attached one day.

Welcome "Opa" - does that mean you're a grandpa, Casey?

Thanks Tony
Yes I am a grandpa,have five grand kids from 10 years old to 18 years old.You must be a windmiller or German to recognize OPA as gramps?

Hi There Opa;

Really Nice looking engine bay: /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

This is the 3rd time I saw Strombergs with those "Different" looking dashpots!

Where do they come from? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif What the heck & or Whose are they?

Just Curious;

Regards, Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Hey Russ,
Thanks for the compliment.Those dash pot covers came from Victoria British years back.I think I paid 8 or 10 bucks a piece for them.They are a stamped,chromed,tin cover that are held down by the damper.
I used to polish the aluminum carb tops and at one point in time was going to plate the,then spotted those covers and put them on.Easier to keep shiny.
I believe they fit both 150 and 175 ZS.
Cheers Opa
