Hi everyone.
This site has been very helpful.
Have had my 1959 TR3 since 1985.
Started working on it again!
Hope to have it on the road next month.
I own my own machine shop, CNC and manual machines. Love mechanical stuff.
It's fun to work on these cars.
I look forward to working with everyone to keep these cool cars alive.

Hi There Lyle,

"Welcome Back" to the Wonderful World of LBCs.

What kind of Mat`ls. do you machine in your shop? The reason I ask is this:

I`ve "Sold / Selling" Ceramic, Sil-Ni Indexable Cutting Inserts to the Aircraft, Automotive, Medical, Steel and Elec. Mfgs.

Best Wishes with your TR3. Its pretty impressive when one keeps a car that long!

Regards, Russ

PS: We all love pics so; Don`t be bashful:

Hi, and welcome to the Forum! Post some pictures of your car when you get a chance.

Lyle,

Welcome aboard...

This is a great place.

I too have a TR3.

Enjoy

OOoohhh!!! A Floridian with a TR3 ~and~ a machine shop?!!?

Welcome to th' fracas, Lyle!

...and *yes* we'd like to see some pix of the project so far!

Thanks for the welcome.
Will add some pictures soon.
Yep, I keep things for a long time. I also have a 1970 Opel GT that I've had for 30 years, it's on the road and running great!
I always liked the look of the Triumph TR3, and in 1985 I found a 59 in fair shape. Drove it for a month and then pulled it totally apart.
It was stored for years, then last year I got sick of looking at it in pieces.
My plan is to get it on the road for it's Birthday in March of 59.
Oh, my TR3 was born in 1959, the same as me!
