Another door seal question.

Okay, I'm in a door seal conumdrum!

What's up with the pricing disparity on MKIII Midget door seals??? Here's what we have:

MacGregor color-coded seals = $127 (in Autumn leaf brown - I don't think I'll buy these because of price);

MacGregor black vinyl = $36
Moss = $63.50 ($6.35/ft X 10 feet).
Vicky Brit = $39.95

Anyone have experience with the quality of this stuff? Wondering why Moss is so high, is it that much better?

I used VB - no complaints. However, the general consensus is that MacGregor makes a very good product.

I haven't been following you project Mark, but $91 ($127-$36) isn't a ton of money either for doing it right - assuming that is the direction you are going.

Found in the past the VB stuff falls apart, the rubber separates from the vinyl. Client insisted on supplying his own. Took a month or so, no adhesive we tried seemed to work.

It's MacGregor for my personal stuff.

I've bought before from both 'big houses', they look great, the internal metal clips separate nicely when pushed on, I can't recall there being too much difference between the two retailers. However, they do not grab great, I spent the next years pushing them back on when they get even the littlest tug or stress on them. For my Midget refurbish I'll be going with MacGregor from what everyone says.

Lots of experience here . . . I'm just and old Triumph guy so this input is really useful to me.

Thanks to all. :thumbsup:
