That was one unprotected shelf. I'd hate to see the other parts that sat on it.

NOS, maybe, but the rubber is 40 yrs old, so,-USELESS. It will most likely fail the minute you start your engine with it. IMHO
Ya, i know most engines still have the original dampers in them, but they might not be dampening the harmonics any more.
