Another Alpine race car discovery

Wow, that brings back memories.
The old Vineland race track was fairly close to where I grew up in southern New Jersey (after I came to the US).
It was closed when I was a teenager, so I never got to go over there.
That Alpine would be a great historic racer....I hope someone is able to restore it to its former glory.
Just for laughts, here's a picture taken at Vineland in the 60s....interesting race car, but *real* interesting tow car. Simpler times I guess.

The plans are to keep it as original as possible.

Cosmetically, the car has a weathered look but it will really clean up well.

Mechanically, the plan is replacing the brake components, etc., magnaflux the spindles and axles. Also, check the rod bearings, which can be done in place, but the engine looks pretty well preserved. As dirty as it looks it was started every so often over the years. So, keeping it original is the plan.
