The wife and I, along with a third co-teacher, Linda, just completed another 12-week Family-to-Family course for NAMI. Family to Family is a 12-week course we teach to families with loved ones affected by mental illness. What I like most about teaching this class is that, in the beginning, when the class members first show up, you look around the room and see nothing but gloomy faces. But by the end of the course their demeanor is completely changed as they now feel (often for the first time ever) that they are not alone and that there are ways of helping their loved ones better cope with these terrible illnesses. I put together a little slide show of our latest class (I'm not in many of the pics because I was the camera guy)

The lady handing out the certificates is Laura Hand - our Albuquerque Family to Family coordinator who was nice enough to show up on this last night to present the certificates of completion to the students.
