If you are as budget conscious as your handle indicates, consider just finishing the trim nicely with file, grinder, sander, buffer, as necessary, & leaving it bare. Sanding sleeves on a Dremel work well for roughing. It's easy to clean & wax with the rest of the car & any future scratches can be easily removed. Anodizing is fairly succeptable to scratching & pretty hard to patch. Most clear coating will scratch also. It's surprising how many scratches the trim can pick up in a few years of use.
If you absolutely have to have it as original, be prepared for the shock of having it get scratched & try to keep everything & everybody away from it.

Another factory option was glued on vinyl trim material. It looks pretty good in pictures & "might" be the most durable way to finish the mouldings.
