Annie Oakley

Funny... 'smits just went thru her initial handgun training. First time with a handgun, .22 semi-auto at 15'. There are 12 rounds in that group.

MKII? I'll be sure and knock ~real~ loud if I ever come over.

It's not just about Annie's talent, it's the person she was. A real woman of principle.

Following day she went with me to try her new "Big Girl" firearm... Stainless .380 Walther PPK/S. 7" black target at 16'. She's now addicted. Intent on 21' so she can out shoot me. :eeek:  The two covered holes were mine. This is her first use of the Walther... I got a budding RangeRat on my hands!

Save your brass and reload 'em. Better yet, have her do it. Lee has a 102 gr .380 bullet mold for $19.99.

Too bad you're not closer, I have the dies and molds.

Been savin' brass for decades, Billy. Had a Lee many moons ago, left it "up north". Heavily considering getting another now as we will BOTH be pushin' that same round down-range:

With what's just happened, it may be worth getting the bench version. I have a feeling there's a .32 PPK/S in our future...

Lee's singhle stage is cheap too. I like the hand press cause I can size and deprime while watching TV. Great for "on the go" too.

Why .32 if you're at .380 already?

PM replied to.

Kinda sad (the biography on PBS). She was really traumatized by the muck-raking Hearst newspapers. They incorrectedly published a story about a woman claiming to be Annie (who had been jailed for something). Most apologized, but not Hearst. Evidently, she won most of her many lawsuits against these papers (for false defamation) but spent all the money on lawyers. Died at about age 66 (in about 1926).
