When Janice and I married my picture must have come with me and her's with her. At some point we realized what we had and framed them. They get put out every Christmas. These were taken back in the early 50's we would take the bus to Pawtucket the closest city. Her family must have done the same. At that time we lived in different towns. I believe the department store was Shartenbergs.
We casually met in high school after both families moved to the same town. A few days after I returned from Vietnam I met her again. We were married a year and a half later. Sadly she lost her fight with breast cancer less then 2 years ago.

A lot of memories come flooding in this time of year. Sometimes, for me anyway, Christmas pasts are both pleasing and sad. Met my wife in high school, always liked her. Looked her up after returning from Viet Nam, 43 years coming up this spring. We were digging around in our stuff several years ago and discovered Western Union Telegrams sent from our parents to grandparents announcing our births. Telephones were not common in the hinterlands of northern WI or on the remote plains of eastern Montana.
