An interesting fix

The support straps underneath my seats are busted. I guess I have to lay off the cheeseburgers. Anyway, when I would sit down, my behind would sink all the way to the floor pan. It was not very comfortable. The other day while feeling around under the seat for misplaced tools, I was struck with an inspiration. Sitting on the parcle shelf was a pillow that my wife uses to sit on when she drives the car (she says she is too short for the Midget!). I crammed that under the seat, and bam! the set is fixed. Driving is much more comfortable now.

Total cost of repair: $0.00.

Now I just need some duct tape and bailing wire to hold it in place.

Oh Yeah. But if it ever rains again here, it's easy enough to pull out for some sun time. It's only a temp fix, anyway.

Mine had a block of styrofoam under it for a year or so.

Got to watch those "temp fixes" as they always seem to turn into long term fixes!

I forget who said it but "Nothing is so permanent as a temporary solution...."

Just wondering... wouldn't the pillow work just as well on top of the seat? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
