An interesting find on ebay

This link should work.

The front end of that car with the headlights in the grill reminds me of another car. But I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what it is... :wall:

Nash-Healey?

I mean Healey Silverstone?

Looks kind of like a Talbot-Lago Figoni et Falaschi Teardrop turned into a convertible. Fortunately they didn't do it to a real one!

It was the Healey Silverstone ...I actually looked it up initially, but the photo that I saw had the headlights on the outside. Maybe I should have verified with more than one picture. My brain isn't working right today.

That is a neat looking car, it would be great to see it finally finished, it already looks beautiful in it's current condition...

I like the lines, in concept. The execution needs some massaging. Looks like there is a huge amount of Bondo on the rear wings where those cracks are.

Simcas had lights in the grill too

Beaulieu

I think it was the pre-war Simcas, Dale (I had a 1970 Simca...fun famly car!!). Thanks for fixing the link Shane! I see another discussion on this in "other cars"! I'm not sure that's bondo on the rear...he does mention using fiberglass in the write-up, and old 'glass will crack like that!!

On closer inspection, that DOES look like bondo!!

Neat car looks alot like one being discussed in the other cars forum. That said it is a really cool looking car, and I imagine whoever buys it will have blast with it.

Yes you do! The Prize Committee was a little hesitant to release the prize due to the fact that you said Nash-Healey first. I lobbied on your behalf and you prevailed, although the vote was a close one...something like 27 yea, 24 nay with 2 voting "present."

Enjoy your prize...it's a picture of my knee while riding the Metro in DC...

Ummm... Thanks, I guess.

Hey, the Nash-Healey kinda had headlights in the grille... sort of.
