We just had something similar happen here but the person only went missing 11 years ago.

We had a simular case here. The family had terrible few years. cold case

From the looks of some "barn find" LBC's, that one looks restorable.
Pressure wash, some hammer and dolly work, rebuild the mechanicals, new rubber, a case of Bondo and paint, good as new.
