Now that I am nearing the end of my restoration, I realize how much easeir this project would have been if I just had an "order of assembly" list or outline when I started. I'm not talking about detailed assmebly instructions, just a list that tells you when to install which part in order to have the best access and to avoid the frustration of removing things you already installed. I thought I'd start with a general outline, and then add the specific components of the car under each heading of the outline.
My hands-on experience is limited to the BJ-8, and even there, my experience does not include the repair of the body and painting of the chassis and body panels. If I was going to do this, I would need some help.
I think the best (and most fun) way to do this is on line in this community. We could start a thread and continue to revise, expand and improve the outline as we go. If you think this is something you would like to be involved in, let me know here. I'll take a shot at setting up the basic outline and then share it on a thread dedicated to the project. As people add detail, I'll move the comments into the outline. By the time we are done, I think we will have something very useful that we can all be proud of. Let me know what you think.
Best regards,
Bill
