First I need to explain: my dash support is NOT covered in
TR pleather. I stripped the plinth, ground it smooth and
polished it with #800 wet paper. Gun barrel black powder
coated in Wendy's house oven. THAT cost me dearly.

Thanks everyone so much for the photos and advice on how to
install the kidney pieces. I got one installed today and
it looks real nice. Finished off kinda.

Yeah, poor Dale will be out drinking at one of his local haunts, someone will slip him something in his drink, next thing he'll wake up in a bathtub full of ice and he'll yell "Wendy! Go check under Amos' dash!"

Because I have 5/16" Triumph bolts at home.

It would cost me almost $10. in gasoline to go
purchase anything smaller in TR threads.

For sure my kidney will not fall out.

Like, maybe 5 or 6 people in the entire world will
ever see this car up close. Not counting Dave and his women.

Dale glad to hear about your kidneys working out, hope you didn't pull a hammy putting them in.

Dale- i would have sent you some #8 or #10 Black headed sheet metal screws to do it.

Dave and his family thought the blackened tuna you served them was made with Bell pepper seasoning. Surprise Dave!

DNK-

Where do you purchase black headed #8 and #10 sheet metal screws?

thanks,

d

Lowes has them in their Automotive specialty fastener drawers.

Dale, I sure like your kidneys better than mine. Looks like I need to go back to the design table. When I made mine, I only wanted to hide the side of the radio. Seeing yours makes mine look like dirt.

I'm looking at it up close............
Very subtle Tinster. Did you have some M10 Ramset anchors left over from a building site??????
Anyway I'm off to the beach (a real one), so later.
Regards

Paul- The ones Lowes sells is OK quality. I have a great hardware store in Seattle that has beautiful Gloss black ones.
