American Shine Test Results

NOw that I'm over the flu and we finally had a sunny day, I went out and washed the 50 Daimler SS and tried my sample of American Shine wax. What can I say - it works as good as any wax I've ever used. No, I did not do a side by side comparison, but suffice it to say I was very pleased with the ease of use and also with the results. Admittedly, the paint of my old Daimler is not the best, but the AS wax still did a very good job and overall I am quite pleased. Yes, I will probably continue to use it. Here are some pics of my Daimler's backside after doing that part of the car:

I'm glad that you achieved the same results that I had. I'll be willing to bet that the temperatures during your test were warmer than those during mine though. Still, shows that it is effective in any climate.

I went out and washed my wife's car today, as the temperature was in the low to mid 40's. First time it's been washed since new year's eve. Anyway, having used the American Shine product last time I thought I'd try the instant detailer that they make. It worked very well, very quick and easy to use, and it brought the shine back beautifully. Anyway, trying the similar Griot's Garage product on a couple of panels gave a similar result, but it was not as easy to use as the American Shine product, needing more elbow-grease to remove and to buff into a good finish.

I used the instant detailer right after also. Have not tried it since waxing the car the first time. Glad to hear it worked well for you. Overall I'm pretty happy with the AS products and would encourage others to give it a try (besides, supporing our vendors will support the forum /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif )
