American MGC Register Update
I am proud to announce what I hope will be the restart of the American MGC Register. This is something I have been discussing with Keith Sanders for the past few months. Keith will be at MG2006 and will be making a similar announcement.
Effectively 1 July 2006 I will become the Editor of the American MGC Register. Keith will remain as Chairman and another person will be the Membership Coordinator. I will let Keith make that announcement at MG2006.
My primary responsibility will be to get the C Notes newsletter back up and running. I intend on developing the newsletter electronically and then sending to Keith for distribution.
I have a lot of information on the MGC, between all the previous C Notes newsletters (now scanned to PDF), 200+ articles and a lot of literature and period documentation which I will use in future newsletters.
Those of you who are AMGCR members, please send me any and all articles on your cars or any other interesting news MGC-wise. Restoration updates or technical information would be especially welcome. The last newsletter was in March 2005, so I need news on the CBA in 2005 and of course, MG2006.
Those of you who are long-time members of the AMGCR may remember each issue featuring a member's car. I want to return this to the newsletter. If you know of an MGC that deserves of such attention, please let me know.
It is my intent to get the next newsletter finished by the end of August at the latest. Short-term, newsletters will be quarterly; long-term I want to get back to bi-monthly newsletter.
All I ask, besides the aforementioned, is your patience. This is my first attempt at such a venture and it may take a newsletter or two before I get it down pat.
I welcome any and all comments and concerns.
