Nice video... Some pretty good footage there.

Thanks for that, Nial. Great stuff.

Were all those 250 GTO's real???? Perhaps my favorite of all cars.

And the Cobra Daytona - real?

If it's Amelia Island, then I'd guess those are all real. That's a serious show, they get nice high-end stuff.

They were the real deal.

I sat thru that whole vid slack-jaw'd, like some mouth-breathin' Neanderthal seein' a television for the first time.

How many MILLIONS of dollars was in that rolling parade? And I wonder if ANY of the passers-by had the slightest clue?

Besides Sulu's reaction, you two had my other two pegged!

Anyone know how to get drool residue out from the dark recesses of the keyboard?

I did notice a couple of 'em could use some valve work... I know a tech who's V-12 familiar and available. :jester:

Reminds me of one year at Watkins Glen Vintage race. Dad and I were walking just outside the paddock, and there, just parked along the edge of the road, no one around was a light blue Stingray. everyone was just walking by not really paying attention. I trotted over and started drooling and taking pictures. Dad says, "You're not a Corvette guy, why are you so excited about this one?" I said "Because this one is one of the 6 Corvette Grand Sports in the world!" And it was in fact the real deal.
That's my favorite kind of find. You don't have to get past armed guards and velvet ropes, it just kind of finds you.
It still had the cheap-o bicycle taillight from the race in Sebring back in the 60s. (A spur of the moment modification to comply to race rules)

We get nothing that exotic anywhere near where I live... I'm limited to looking at photos and videos like this... :frown: And sadly my travel budget is rather tapped out, as I'm not independently wealthy...
