Mentioned the turn signals not flashing from time to time; narrowed it down to this. When the car idles they don't flash, when the car has + 2000rpm, they flash.
Usual symptoms of the lights dimming don't exist, not holding a charge etc also absent. All other electrics good. Hazards work great in any circumstance.
Why would the engine dictate the turn signals? I've gone through the wiring a number of times and grounds are good, replaced the flasher under the dash, no different, this is bizarre. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You have Lucas electronics.
Be glad you have any lights working.

Seriously, if this has just started, suspect the alternator.
Places like Autozone will test them for free.

Until I replaced my alternator with a Delco unit, my flashers worked extremely slow when the engine was idling.

Should be able to check the voltage at the lights and at the flasher unit when idleing and at some higher level as well, should give you a place to start.

Just got back from Autozone, it is indeed that. Those turn signals have been driving me nuts for weeks.
Another call to Moss.....
Cheers all.
