Universal Laminations hardtop for BT7
I installed my hardtop today and have a problem on the drivers side. 4 seat car. At the passenger door I can't get the one side to go down onto the aluminum rail surround. I stays up about an inch. The pin in going into the pipe but the last few inches will not go down. The passenger side goes down correctly. I tried to upload photos but it stops me from adding them.

You may have noticed that this thread was temporarily unavailable. I moved it to our private moderator forum while I researched an issue people were having. Seems there was something about the original title of the thread that, when people clicked on it, was causing a security issue and if they repeated attempts to access this thread, they would eventually get locked out and could no longer access the forum.

There was something about the text string "having hardtop trouble" that, when put in the browser's address bar (which happens when you click on a thread), my server's security rules interpreted the string as a possible SQL injection attempt (my security rules thought a hacker is trying to "inject" malicious code into the forum database).

If I removed the word "having" from the string, then all is well. So, I edited the title in the database so now people can access this thread. Sorry for any inconvenience. I will try to see what Ips were blocked due to this little glitch and I will unblock them.

The security rules are very good at what they do, but ever now and then, some weird glitch happens and a legitimate thread title may cause a security violation.

Found answer to problem. Slacked off on the tight side and when all pressure was off began to retighten a bit at a time until they drew down even. May add another piece of weather strip to surround to raise back and lower front.

God rule of thumb - when tightening bolts, always leave the first ones a little loose before tightening until all bolts are seated properly and whatever you're installing is on straight and true.
