Almost moved in! [New House]

Well, theres been a huge improvment since my last update and except for unpacking some boxes I'm almost completly moved in. Only a few things left to do at the old place.

Here's a link to view the Moving in Mess

Only real problem is my former Landlord is beign a major PITB over some stupid things. Pretty sure she's trying to come up with a bunch of lame reasons to keep my deposit. But I documented everything when I moved in and plan on taking her to small claims if she wants to play rough.

Oh well, I'm pretty happy and can't wait till things settle down to the point where I can jump back on my projects.

Looks like someone lives there now, Bret! Good work.

Good luck with the previous landlord. I've had relatively bad luck with getting deposits back over the years. I had one go around the apartment with a white glove on, checking for dust.

Looks good, Bret - is that bottle of beer decoration or were you drinking as you shot the pics? hehehee

Bret,
It looks great. I have been a fan of Mission furniture since the late 50's, when it was what my grandparents had in their home. Too bad about the landlord. I only rented once and that went smoothly, and when I rented an apartment, I did not charge a deposit, because it was my sister renting from me.

Relax, and enjoy the new digs.

Thanks everyone,

Heres some more pics of the Updated Back Yard.

As for the rental - I should know what my former landlord has in mind after I give her the keys this weekend. But should she continue to play these stupid games with me & not return my calls and/or try to keep my deposit, I have every intention of taking her to small claims.

Personally I feel the rental house has so many problems (Pluming issues, termites, dry rotted wood) that in my view it is totally uninhabitable and should be fixed before it is rented out again.

Very nice. All the decking and benches makes me think of the karate kid

"Show me sand-a flow" - in my best Mr. Miyagi voice.
