Ugg! I'm going crazy!

Talked to my Realtor (my mom) last night and everything is looking good with escrow. Said I could possibly be getting the keys as early as May 2nd & suggested that I should probably consider giving my 30 day notice to my landlord.

Yea ME!

Big hurtles this week – the appraisal was completed and everything is matching up. Likewise the termite inspection was done and the house got a clean bill of health – with no termites or other infestation detected. There was some minor wood rot detected in a small area of the awning but that was repaired Tuesday. Likewise the loan officer said everything is on track as well. Commented “I’ve been doing this for years and this is the quickest I’ve ever seen this process work”.

Tomorrow morning is the BIGGIE – the dreaded house inspection. But we’re not really expecting anything earth shattering but are keeping our collective fingers crossed just in case.

I must admit that the paperwork is a bit overwhelming – I don’t know how many trees we’ve sacrificed between burning up the fax lines, printed out emailed & over-nighted document packages, but I sure it’s significant.

Just tryin’ to stay focused on the prize.

We're routing for you too, Bret. Sounds like you're making some actual progress on this. Just think of how good it will feel to have those keys in your hands -- that's what you have to keep your mind focused on. All these annoying details will melt away once you're past them.

Good luck!
