Hello,
I've been bouncing around a bit here but haven't taken the time to make a full introduction here yet.
Some of you may have read my postings in the Lotus and Racing forums, but for all the rest of you....
Currently live in Allentown, PA. Go to college in Flint, MI at Kettering University, studying mechanical engineering with an automotive drivetrain specialty. I've had quite a bit of exposure to and involvement with British cars, mostly with an XK 140 my dad and I "restored" while I was in high school (images posted on this site). It started life as a 1955 XK 140 MC OTS. Sometime after that, and before we got it, it was given a 3.8L from a 61 E-type, front suspension uprights changed to E-type units to allow disc brakes, rear suspension was tossed in favor of an E-type independent system. Also, the "pushrod" type pedals were swapped out for E-type lever style pedals. When we got it, it had early E-type seats, and E-type gauges. We got some slightly more original looking XK vintage racing/bucket seats, and are in the process of converting to slightly less original looking Auto-Meter gauges.
I am starting to upload some videos of the car to YouTube

Other British cars that are currently in the family are a 2007 Jaguar XK, and 2005 Bentley Arnage.
Have had 3 other Jags, 1 other Bentley, and before I was born a smattering of Austin Healys, and an MG.
Interesting non-british Iron in the family is my brother's 66 Corvette. Dad bought that in 1979, so it's been in the family longer than I have. Interesting note with that car that my brother and I thought of recently. My dad rebuilt the engine in it, and did some general "restoration" to it not long after he bought it. It occurred to my brother and I that it has been longer since he restored it that it was between the time it was new, and the restoration.
