Took the youngest Feller in for a little surgery. Had his "boys" removed . Looks cute with the party hat on!

He looks like he's daring you to get close to him - CHOMP!!

Beautiful dog...cool eyes. And he does look like he's plotting revenge...

Actually he's real passive today. Might be still medicated but I wonder on that as the surgery was Monday Morning.Probably still in discomfort.
Shane, I'll keep the covers tight tonight!

My vet actually gave me pain meds for the boys after their surgeries, but he said that they usually don't feel that much pain afterwards. After 1-2 days they were back to their normal selves. Do make sure that he doesn't get to the stitches. If he gets a hold of them, he might reopen the wound, and that's a painful return to the vet...good luck!

Shane - If you look close he's wearing a "party hat" so he is unable to lick them areas
He a Blue Aussie ,born on a Blue Moon hence his name Blue Moon

I'd keep an eye on him despite the collar. I had to babysit my aunt and uncle's Afghan Hounds not long after the male was fixed, and he was required to wear one of those when left unattended. Didn't matter what I did, it only took him about thirty seconds to get the durned thing off.

LOL!

She looks a little dreamy...........

All in a days work. I can do a horse in less than 4 min, a bull in 1 min., a cat in 5 min (it takes Dr Mrs. less than 1 min) and a K9 takes me 15 min. (Surgery time). It's the Sx prep etc that takes the time and effort. Needless to say, I try not to make SWMBO mad!!! :nonono:

Dr Paul

I'll second that suggestion.

My blue heeler, Andromeda, wore an E.C. after a recent surgery ( small cyst above an eye). "Keep that on her for two weeks" I was told by the vet. Two days later, the crazy mutt returned from a potty run, proudly bearing the collar in her mouth while snorting joyously. I thought of trying duct tape, but eventually we figured out that she didn't really care about the surgical site, so in our case there was no problem.

Actually Andi's a bit of a mix. Bred from Dingos crossed with Wombats, she's genetically a Dingbat.

No problem about the E.C. the good Party hats have the neck collar threaded thru them.

Too bad cats are too nimble for that. Little Zaphod is going to get the same treatment in about 4 months.

How about an update? How's the little feller doing?

Hey delta , why don't you have Dr. Paul or his Mrs. do it. I'd like to see the 1 minute part. It would be exciting you tube.

He's only doing fair. His appetite has slipped and he's kind of mellow which this breed is not. His nose seems to be fairly warm. Isn't it suppose to be cool and damp?Still barks at the UPS guy though you can see his heart isn't in it.
Kind of Ruff for the feller.

He'll get better, sometimes it just takes a little longer. My two corgis are about the same age, maybe two months separation. When Starck went in, he seemed to be fully recovered within two days. After Danny's operation, it took him about a week. He's just as active, but his immune system had already dealt with Parvo, mange, giardia, and kennel cough. Sometimes they just take longer. A weekend with Dad might be what he needs...

UPDATE- He's back at the Vet for the weekend. He's been having a hard time and my wife and I haven't slept since he came home on Tuesday. Seems he has a staff infection .

I hope all is well, Don.
