Your being a little hard on them Don.... they certainly had their chances, but seemed to lay back in the last half celebrating a bit too early... they thought they had it in the bag.
It's like I say Don.... Soccer is a cruel game!

That what I was saying. I can't believe we couldn't get it past her in the goal
 
I thought it was bad judgement to substitute Christie Rampone.
Only the players left on the field can participate in PK's and not having her on the field hurt us.
 
I can still never understand soccer. How they can let the players run for hours and hours till their tongues are hanging out, then let it all come down to a one-on-one kick. Give me football or baseball or even basketball any day.
 
I know how you feel Bill, but not all games end in PK's. At premier youth tournaments <span style="text-decoration: underline">sometimes</span> the rules provide for a specified overtime period with a "golden goal" meaning that the first team to score during the overtime period wins. If after the overtime period(s) it is still tied, then it goes to PK's.
That's the game Bill... it has to end and taking PK's is how it's done. Like I said earlier, It's a cruel game!

Oh yeah Bill... I'd rather watch paint dry than watch a baseball game :jester:
 
I was at the mariner game during the soccer game.

I'm kinda with you on that, Don. I played in amateur and senior soccer leagues for years: amateurs shoot penalty shots better than that.

Really unexplainable how professionals could miss PKs like that. Crazy.

But, a highly classy bunch of ladies, hard workers and good representative of our country. Couldn't ask for a better bunch, IMHO.

Mebbe next time they could practice their PKs a little more??? :cryin:
