I don't usually get too excited about the new cars they make these days, they are mostly too heavy and big, or too expensive or both for my taste, but I just read about the new Alfa 4C, https://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/1309_2014_alfa_romeo_4c_first_drive/viewall.html While I will not spend 50K plus on a new car now or ever, if Alfa tanks in a few years and these cars value goes South fast I could see myself happily behind the wheel (that is if I can still fold my old body into one!)

I like the new 4c although. I hope they put the headlights under glass

Due here "first quarter" of the year according to the dealership near us.

The Good: Low Weight, Exotic Style, No Power Assist on the Steering (all the reviews I have read of the car rave about this, yes a good unassisted rack and pinion setup does feel pretty good, doesn't it?) The Bad: No Clutch :sorrow:

Don, I don't think the 4C can even begin to compare with a Sprint Speciale; I don't think it even compares to a regular Giulietta. Don't get me wrong I like the 4C, I just don't think it is as great as some of the classic Alfas.

Agreed but that gets to be a long list - Ferrari, Maserati, Lotus, etc.etc.

Of course the very nature of this forum kind of predisposes us to this conclusion doesn't it

It just means we have good taste.

The older alfa s were cool yet this new 55 grand sports car leads the way for the future of the brand (in the USA) hopefully
