I has a 96 4 runner that I insalled air springs, which ammounts to baloons inside the coil spring, it made the ride better and less mushy, I though about finding some to fit inside the rear springs on my 71 TR6, any comments?
 
Herman Van Akker has been using air bags in his car for a while with good results. If you contact him through his web site I'm sure he will share the info.
