TR6 Air pump

Just bought a 75 tr6 the air pump is gone and is blocked off at the manifold does it serve a purpose if there is none
 
It's an Emission Control component, diluting and cooling the exhaust gases. It didn't affect performance one way or the other...maybe robed a bit from the engine when it was turning the pump.
