Air Filters

I bought some K&N air filters at Trimphest two years ago and just remembered that I should clean the elements. I didn't buy the K&N cleaning stuff. Any ideas on what to use to clean the filter elements? Something NAPA or Checker might have on the shelves? T.T.

Regular dishwashing liquid works as well as anything. Let the filter soak for a few minutes, swish around, & rinse with cold water from inside to out. Air dry & reoil with K&N filter oil. The filters don't do much without the oil.
