Just to give an update on engine and tranny rebuild.

Engine parts are at the machine shop waiting their
turn (no pun intended) to be machined.

Tranny is at subcontracted mechanic's shop to rebuild
and add in overdrive unit.

Rocker assembly is at its respctive shop for rebuild.

Got a good start on engine bay paint; but, more to do.
At this rate, no need to rush, I suppose.

So, kinda boring news for the moment.

I think I need to see some pics of cars in progress to get
me more excited.

Ya want excitement?

Clean, practical, straightforward lookin' tool ya got there, Bill.

Holy cow, Bill, that's gorgeous.

I want one . . . /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

Bill, a query; where are you venting your rocker box outlet hose to?

Oil separator (Goodparts) located underneath the brake master.

The suction comes from the 3 carbs.

2wrench... Yer still ahead of me.

Engine sitting on a crate in the garage

Trans sitting on the floor in the garage

Rocker assembly in an oily bag under my workbench...

namuch else goin on in TR land here.

And in (8) months, I'll be ripping this all apart to put a Dr. Bill style modified block assembly underneath it.

As I said once before, it never really ends.....

Those are heavy-gauge wires that feed my battery from my Delco alternator and also feed the electric fan high-torque starter and fogs. None of those go through the stock harness.

That's what I figured but had to ask. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

That's what I'm talking about! Gives me the chills.
Like looking at a gorgeous blond when your 18
(I'm partial to blonds, you know...and yes, I married
one, fortunately...strawberry blond, to be exact).

When I look into those engine bays, I just go, well,
kinda speechless. Don't really know what to say.
Thanks for the inspiration.

You know, if this thread were to be expounded upon,
I think I'll clip; print and post some pics somewhere
around the house. I know I've seen others, at times,
that are also very, very nice...and I won't call out
names, because if I left out somebody, well, it'd just
be wrong. Don't be shy now.

And Bill, I can catch a snippit (real word???) of
the electric fan to go along with that real cool
(sorry, with me, the puns just happen) aluminum radiator.

That kind of points up the whole picture of beauty and
function. And I might add, I read every word on how
it was, or in the views of others, should have been
installed.

I came away from reading that thread thinking: You know,
I'll bet it will work, certainly well enough, any way
you do it.

Thanks to each of you, Bill and Paul, for your posts. Just gorgeous stuff.

Okay...

Which would you prefer?

This...

or this!

Pity you didn't keep that really nice blue OEM valve cover Shawn. That would have matched your electronic ignition boxes rather nicely with a little spit & polish.

Wow! What is that effecient-looking contraption
attached (or not) to the carbs? I swear, these
cars look almost sci-fi at times.
So you wanna/gotta have it cause it....(fill in the
blank, please).

Beam me up, Scottie, then put her in hyper-warp.
