I found out that my midget really is toed out in the front. The gauge that I bought for checking toe would fit right up to the tire in the back but the tow eyes in the front kept it back about 2 inches. The gauge arm is tapered about 3/8 of an inch inward as it gets farther from the corner. I set it on a couple 2x4s a little lower and found out it was towed out about 3/8 inch. I think I got it now.

So how is the handling now since you made the change?

steering doesn't feel as quick but otherwise it drives well. I need to re center the wheel because I took most of the toe up on one side and now its off. Just move the wheel a couple splines. I have not tried it on interstate yet but I think it will handle ok. I can't believe I missed something so obvious.

If you just move the steering wheel a few splines then it won't self-cancel the turn blinkers as well (been there, done that), better to adjust the tie-rod ends.

The self cancel trip is a little metal clip that can be moved around if necessary. I should have adjusted both sides but I just wanted the toe correct for now. If it looks good then I will go back and try and correct it turn for turn.
