AH front suspension

I am restoring a 67 AH sprite. The front suspension is shot as usual, but for some reason I cannot remove the trunnion link from the kingpin. It spins freely but will not come off the kingpin. Is this a froze bushing or am i missing something ... thanks

Nope & nope. It should come straight up. Give it a good jerk upwards or a good smack from underneath with a small hammer. It justs comes off the top of the kingpin. There is a thrust washer and a shim washer under it but nothing else to hold it on besides maybe some excessive wear?

Fmichaels, sounds like you have a bunch of wear on the bushings or have and edge worn in the trunnion, a press would solve your problem. Take it to whoever is going to do the machine work and reaming on the bushing and they will take care it. Worth the $5 extra. Wayne

should pop right off, the lower fulcrum pins on the other hand.....

ps. Welcome to the Forum. Great place and lots of help and knowledgable folks here
