Found these among some stuff while hunting other things to secure ahead of the storm. Done on the back of "inspection report" forms on a midnight to eight AM shift in a steel mill (late '70's), working as a Non-destructive Test Inspector. Ran an ultrasound unit, only thing to do was wait for an audible alarm to indicate material passing thru had a defect. Plenty of time to doodle.

Hunting now for some of the less "racy" ones. Imagination was allowed to roam on a "12-to-8" night shift. πŸ˜‰

They could be called figure studies from my mind...

A study of the only "live" subject handy at the time. And where my head was going (sailing):

Some others. The "Raceweld" one was a concept sketch for a combination of a welding business and our on-track alignment service using the Dunlop alignment gauges I had. Never came to pass, Florida changed my mind.

These are some nice examples! You put this inspection forms to good use! Bravo!

Thank you. Unfortunately the majority of the sketches are not suitable for a "G" rating. Influenced by the works of Frank Frazetta.

This was done as a stylized stipple piece for my business card (Twincam Consultants") back in my Pittsburgh era. Pen and ink:
