After the windmill blew over twice

After our decorative windmill blew over twice in strong winds, despite being anchored to the "ground", I decided to get serious. I don't think the sucker is going anywhere now!

Would you believe that little pad took 12 80lb bags of concrete!
 
Back in my Texas days, we'd often hear visitors ask about all the wind mills (actually Aer-Motor water pumps on towers) all over the west Texas plains.

We'd tell them that the plains are so hot and dry, we install big fans to keep the cattle cool.
