All:

i need to change the oil in my car tomorrow. It is the first time i will have done so on this car. To save me a bit of time, can someone tell me what kind of filter to buy for the car/ It currently has a Wix filter. I just don't want to have to take it off and then drive to the parts store. I'd rather do everything at the same time.

Thanks,

mike

I am getting ready to do the conversion on my TR3A and just bought the kit from moss, I took a picture of the filter for this exact reason IMG_2247.jpg

If it's for a spin on filter adaptor you can get the brand of your choice that cross references with that WIX spin on filter..or any spin on filter that cross references with FRAM PH3600. There's ton of them including various grades of the same brand. Fram has 4 grades of the 3600 for example.
I use the TG 3600 most of the time because it's on the shelf at Walmart.

the wix P/N is also 51302 for the canister filter in my experience, also Fram CH820PL. Both available from FLAPS. I have seen napa sell the same filer as P/N 1302

I use the spin on for my 250 but all original for the 4cyl cars. I'll take one wimp badge please.

Here's a "Wimp Certificate" suitable for framing.
I earned mine a long time ago....
