Aeroscreen for 100

Maybe Reid can answer this question as I see that he has these installed on his 100. Can anybody tell me what correct way to attach the Aeroscreens on a 100 (BN-1 or BN-2). If a holes were drilled through the dash did anything hold them is place from the underside? I would think if you went over a bump (not cool in a 100) they would come out of the holes?

Is it not correct that these were an option, not normally fitted to any 100. I know there are quite a few after market ones out there. Does anybody make them with the "AH" on them?
A few month ago I saw an origianal one that went for serious money on Ebay.

I found a single Brooklands aeroscreen with the AH logo through a contact I made at Carlisle in 2012. The shroud on my BN2 100M has holes that match the bracket but had been filled in. The bracket has 4 countersunk holes (2 in each bracket) that match the size of the Phillips head bolts that hold down the rearview mirror so that's what I plan to use.
 
Please add a picture, would help others to see the difference with aftermarket one's
 
At our last AH meeting one of our members said they had a new original curved perspex Aeroscreen for the early 100s .. Is this what your looking for ?
He does want to sell it as he doesnt own a Healey 100.

Looking at some period pictures and the screen construction, I believe that there should be a rubber gasket along the bottom, like the 100 windshield.

Peter Jaye of England made 20 reproductions of the AH aeroscreens in 1993. There were no other reproductions available at the time, and originals were expensive and usually in need of extensive restoration.

I bought two of the 20 and put them away, knowing that some day I would have a good use for them. They are of excellent quality and an exact match to the originals.

About five years ago "some day" arrived and I mounted them on my BN2. I spent probably half a day measuring and re-measuring before drilling the holes for mounting them on my freshly painted shroud.

For position I relied upon a template made for me by Al Alfano who, at the time, still owned the pink and black 100M show car. When Al acquired it, it still had the holes where the factory had mounted AH aeroscreens.

Paul Schwartz of Orinda, California, had made some mounting blocks to help them sit more level; one positions under the outside "foot" of each aeroscreen.

I made body gaskets.

I love the looks of a 100 with the windscreen folded, but I love even more the look of the aeroscreens. Plus you can still mount the windscreen with the aeroscreens in place.

I find that the aeroscreens deflect much more wind than you might think. It is perfectly comfortable to drive long distances with nothing but the aeroscreens providing wind protection. You just have to remember to wear a good clip attaching your hat to your collar, because otherwise if you look up and the wind catches the brim of your hat, it's quickly gone!

Beautiful. Actually much more elegant than the original. I have been toying with how to mount mine and I like the idea of he block on the outer side slope of the shroud. Otherwise the screen has a slight cant to it.
