TR6 Advice for new TR6 Soft Top

Hi All,

Finally looking to replace the old soft top. There has to be many gone down this road, what are the suggestions for make & type of top to buy, and where. All the usuals make theirs sound good, but I'd really like to hear after they have been installed and weathered a couple years. My frame appears to be good, the old top is just worn and has shrunk to the point it looks terrible. Thanks!

Scott...I went with a Robbins Top from Roadster. Have been
really happy with that. Usually cost a little more...but wait for a sale and seems I found it about the same price as the others. While you are on this project...might consider having the top bows powder coated. Had mine coated...and they just keep looking good.
Good luck with the project. Gil NoCal

Get one with the zipper around the back window.I wish that I had
done that.

The canvas is really classy looking, but no matter what, the back window zip down is a must.

Just put on a canvas top for a customer,I advise against it if your NOT a pro with tops. They are quite a bit harder to fit and NOT at all forgiving. The next one I do will have to be at gun point......

I just put on my TR250 top, basically the same as a TR6 top only difference is the top reflective stripes.

The top was well made, in what I beleive they call their everflex vinyl, have never fit a top before, took my time it turned out fine, thought it was well made everything matched up well with just enought stretching to make it all fit nice and snug.

Thanks all, looks like I'll go with the canvas EZ Soft Top, with rear zip. Is it as simple to install yourself as they promise? No stretching required?

Just put a new top from ARO2000 on my TR6. I have had many British roadsters and this is the best top I have seen. I did not want standard crush grain vinyl so they made pinpoint vinyl for me. Many custom materials and colors available....great prices! http://www.aro2000.com/ Hg%lb3uERFemW9t%ue89TA.jpg
