Advice For New Communication Piece

You got the first TWO letters right... see if you can come up with the correct third letter :jester:

The wife bought one of these for traveling and loves it! Key board has fairly normal size keys making typing easy. 10" screen and Windows 7 lite. Really nice little computer. Not cheap, cheap at over $400.00, but amazing how much it will do for it's size. You need a separate USB DVD player though, not enough room for a built in. PJ
Toshiba Mini,

An entry level Dell laptop will cover 90% of what most folks need.

I have 5 of the laptops, 14 workstations and several HP products here at work.

A 15" screen is adequate and, if you so desire, a remote keyboard and mouse are cheap.

2.3 GHz processor, 2 gig of ram, 250 gig hard drive and basics from there

AVG ant Virus software (free) and you are on your way $499

Of course you could buy a nice 15" MacBook Pro if you like apple. A similarly equipped unit, albeit with the ew Retina display starts at $1799.

Now I have the hiccups :frown:

Randy- Was a Dell guy for quite a while until I had to start fixing them
Their proprietary parts are way to expensive.
Thanks,
I do like AVG though.

I quit repairing them awhile ago. Buy the entry level and run it until it hiccups....then toss it and start again. At $500 acquisition cost, there is little that is cost effective to repair.

Sadly, what was once a high and mighty "Personal Computer" is really nothing more than just another appliance.....

More truth to that every day.
