Gentlemen- please refrain from negative comments on my
posting here on the triumph technical forum.

This is informational only to show a new, high quality rotor
product available to us from Jeff at Advanced
Distributors.

I drove it yesterday, took it apart this morning and detected no metal dust, metal flakes or grooves cut into the new diizy cap terminal posts. The car ran very well and started on the first crank. Jeff's rotor fits the dizzy shaft like bark on a willow tree.

I'm driving Amos around town today and down to the beach. Anything fun going on up northern way?

Nope. Still too snowy and icy and salty to drive the TR3. Lovely hoar frost all over the trees this morning, though...

Dale, glad to hear it's running good. Sounds like it's time for a run into the mountains!

Yup David, now that the defective rotor and dizzy cap are
replaced the car is running strong. I'm happy I did not listen
to the advice to drive the car even harder and work out thru
the problem. Jeff at Advance told me to park it immediately
pull the dizzy, rotor and cap and send it to him. I listen
to Jeff Schlemmer when it comes to dizzys.

David, we best NOT get a thread started- it will offend several
folks and could get nasty. My intention is only to show a photo
of new, high quality product that has been test driven
and performed well.

Even as a non-mechanic TR owner, I highly recommend Jeff
at Advanced Distributors. Others will disagree with me,
I am sure.

Dale - did you ever figure out what caused the previous rotor to destroy the contacts? Where did the bad rotor/cap come from?

Tom

His rotor arms look good. It is a shame that he appears to only sell to the USA.

<span style="color: #000099">Nick- you want some? I'll have a BCF buddy in Philly buy them for you,
ship them to you and I'll pay for the entire enterprise.

E-mail me your needs!

Mickey or Basil_ would you kindly lock down this thread?
It was my intent to only post a photo and web address.
This thread might quickly turn nasty.

thanks,

The Fisherman :yesnod:

If it turns nasty, then yes I'll lock it. But so far it hasn't.

I have to say I prefer the look of the Advanced Distributors one!
Dale, that is a very generous offer. I am very happy to pay for them if you are somehow arrange delivery. I'll PM you.

I'm sorry, Basil, but your avatar really creeps me out.... reminds me of the human-faced dog in "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". Yeeps!

Basil, now is probably the time to lock down the tread.

Dale,

You apparently refuse to listen to what I'm telling you. I just deleted 2 of your posts in this thread in which you continued to dredge up your food fight with a few folks which occurred via email. I have told you repeatedly that if this thread turns nasty THEN I'll delete the offending posts within the thread and lock it and deal with the offenders. I've also told you that I've asked the parties you are concerned about to NOT reply to any of your posts.

Now, I'm asking you one more time - stop bringing up past events that did not occur on the forum, but rather behind the scenes via email. Your continuing to drag up these issues is the only problem so far with this thread and has been in direct defiance of what I (And others) have asked you to stop doing repeatedly behind the scenes. Now I'm asking you one more time - with feeling - please get back to the normal posts about Triumphs or, if in the Pub, about fishing or whatever, but PLEASE stop the other stuff.

So sorry Boss,
I never intended this to be a thread but simply some photos
of a new, high quality product available to us.

I requested immediatelty the thread be locked down so only
the photos showed.

I'll stop attemptin' to even posting TR6 related photos on the Triumph
forum - since folks seems to object to it as well.
The same goes for those that object to "What's cookin' this weekend"
and "Cap't dale's fishin report."

I'll quit them as well.

For what is worth- I had a splendid 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM ast
driving Amos hither and yon, to the marina, the store, off to visit
see an old Chevy car mechanic and chicken, rice and beans lunch with
my fishing pals.

I'm really sorry--- this shoulda been a dull photo thread-- but turned
out so bad.

Most folks have seen the new rotor and points by now-
so I say delete the entire dimned thread. It now serves no purpose.
I really am stupid- I was not aware you had deleted 2 of my posts on this thread!!

I'll crawl back into my bow anchor locker now and wait for tarpon sunrise.

I'm pretty sure that human faced dog was in the original (and infinitely better than the new version) "The Day the Earth Stood Still", but irrespective (there's no such word as irregardless) of where it came from you are correct, it is positively freaky!!

will someone in POWER please delete this meaningless thread??
