Now that I have the Wind screen back on the door glass doesnt quite fit, gap larger near the bottom than at the top, what is the proper way to adjust the gap, not really any good information in the bently manual I kind of think that the top should be loose and up and latched, the wind screen loose the door glass channel bolts loose and put door glass up and then start to tighten everything a little at a time to get it all right as a system, Right?

thanks

Hondo, Painful at best, but you have the right idea.

Wayne & Hondo,

Right as can be on both counts. Slow and painful, but you can try this to speed it up some.

Put a level on the top each door glass and bring them up to be of equal height and level. Next make sure that the distance is the same at the front bottom on both glasses when in the full up position.

Then get the windscreen frame loose and try fitting it to the glasses, rather than the other way around. You may get close enough that it will be easy tweaking each side to get it to fit.

Remember, the door glass must be level across the top to fit the weatherstrips, so once you get that done, of you can get the windscreen to cooperate, you'll be golden.
