Adhesive for interior trim pieces?

I'm reinstalling several trim pieces under the dash and on the firewall of a '67 E-Type. What are some good adhesives to use so that I can remove the pieces in the future without destroying them?
I'm using the original insulation and trim since the pieces are generally in good condition.

I don't understand why you would want to remove the pieces in the future,

but for vinyl or leather I use Elmer's Contact Cement which I get at HomeDepot or Lowe's in bottles which have a brush attached to the lid. You can also get heavier duty contact cement wherever they do horse accessory repairs.

The trick with any glueing job is in clamping the pieces together for at least 12 hours and that is the minimum. I usually leave-em-and-forget-em for 24 hours.

If you have to place a clamp over the front of vinyl or leather, use a piece of thin plastic material under the clamp so that it doesn't leave an impression on the visible part of the material.

I use 3M contact spray adhesive. Spray put together, seperate and then stick without clamps. Use steam to remove later. Will remain thru coolant leaks or water ingree.

That's what I use too!
 
the problem with any Spray is the overspray. Adhesive ends up in the wrong places, creating a mess, and the amount of adhesive is also difficult to control. 3M Spray Adhesive is best for headliner/fabric/carpet material, usually not very good for permanent vinyl or leather repairs.

I have found the best way to apply contact cement is with a small foam roller, but it will have to be disposed of after using it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will try the roller route since I'm attaching insulation and vinyl in the footwell area which is hard to reach.
