adding pictures to posts

Not sure if this is the right place for this but...
I'm a bit confused about how to add photos to my posts, from what i can understand in the faq, it seems you need to have them available on your own web site (which I don't have) or have i totally misunderstood??
If anyone could shed some light on this for me I would be grateful

That's the best way to do it. You can sign up for a free photobucket account at https://photobucket.com - upload your images, then use the image tags to make the pictures show up here (more on that later).

You can also upload the image to the BCF server by clicking on "file manager" at the bottom. The picture gets uploaded here to BCF and people can download/view it.

Whatever you do though, you should make the images reasonably small (640x480 or thereabouts).
