Adding a third brake-light

We've converted over to LED brake/signal lights on our BEs and our 3000 and I figured I could quit thinking about adding a high mount third brake light, but there's a really good thread over on the 'other' Healey site:
https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcf/showthread.php?108331-3rd-brake-light-again!&highlight=brake+light
https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcf/showthread.php?110836-extra-stop-brake-light
Our stuff is all in storage now, but I'm sure going to look into using some of the ideas discussed to add a third light to both our BEs and 3000. Doug

Consider Summit Racing United Pacific LED license plate frame with red LED's wired into the brake circuit. I've sold several folks on these when they saw them on my car's. I'd give a link but having trouble with Summit's secure site.

Thanks for that hcallaway. I'm running the ones with red lights on the side of the plate. Quite bright and doesn't ruin the lines of the car or get in the way.

I added one to the rollbar of my bugeye. I bought one of these: https://www.customdynamics.com/category/led-light-bars/truflex

It was pricey, but the LED's are so densely spaced that it is very bright and looks more like a solid bar of color. I wasn't really looking for the dot-dot-dot appearance of most LED bars. Its about as thick as a pencil and has a sticky backing. I love it! Installation was very easy.

Here is another idea. I didn't want to drill holes in the car or clamp a light to the boot lid, and I don't have a roll bar or luggage rack. I found these very bright LEDs at Superbrightleds.com. They are made for Jeeping at night and are epoxied into a solid aluminum mount and look indestructible. I did have to drill holes in the license plate and plate holder and ran the wire through the existing grommets and tied into the brake lights. At 213 lumens, they are very bright. Don't think the picture is as impressive as the lights.
