Ok, all stop.

Back to square one. Have returned all carb specs to stock.

Nothing seemed to work properly.

Found a bit of an air leak but only 2 or 300 RPM change when useing carb cleaner, that's not it.

I know the book says 1/8 inch measurement on carb float but what is is for an H1 it sure isn't 1/8th. Heck my floats are brass and I have small arms. It seems that the fuel level is high to me. Shoot it just runs into the carbs.

Needle and seat in the float chamber have the same stock number so that's not a prob.

Anyone have an old H1 manual and can check the float lever spec ie what to set it at for me? An orginal Bugeye book should also say. <span style="color: #FF0000">7/16</span> just found it.
 
Jack, I THOUGHT you had a problem with your float level!!! The measurement for the H1 is 7/16" (quite different from 1/8") I have been trying to say check your float level all along!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

That is why you have had the leaks. the fuel level in the float chamber is above the jet level. It will leak whether the fuel pump is working or not till the level equalizes, then as soon as you run, it is over-full again! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
 
And I was not listening, duh.

Just started it, still leaks but now it needs tuned, trys to go slow. hehe.

Have em set at 1/2 inch. Still leaks. Strange isn't it. I would have thought that without presure, have pressure regulator set on lowest setting, that it would stop. Shrug. Maybe it will.

Wife has said I can not run engine in the evening, too loud, seems like a quite engine to me.

Was haveing a bit of a prob getting it to run on the back carb alone so I could adjust mix, mix nut is out 8 flats at present.

Seems like it is getting closer now, at least it is trying to run slow.
 
Tomorrow is another day Jack!! Sounds like you are getting there. Could it be that it is still leaking because you haven't used the excess fuel out of the bowl yet?
 
Had not thought of that.

Will be out of town tomorrow. No play time for me. Must go visit sister for lunch.
