accelerator pedal cover

Is there a reason why I can only find rubber pedal covers for the clutch and brake, not the accelerator? Am I looking in the wrong places? I've got a 79 Midget. It's the same size as the others but rounded on the bottom. I've bought the set for the other pedals but can't for the life of me figure out why the three wouldn't have been sold together. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
A guy said to me, " To the best of my knowledge, they never had one."
This sounds kinda' iffy! Never had one? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Any suggestions or insight is geatly appreciated.

Most spridgets had a rectangular accel pedal that was hinged on the floor. Only the later ones had the hanging type. So it may be a matter of supply and demand.

they never had a cover

My 76 has one. It is very similar to the brake and clutch cover in design. The difference is it is rounded off at the bottom to match the contour of the accel pedal. Not sure if it is OEM or not but if not it is a good fit. Of course being almost 30 years old, it could use a replacement but I'm with Mario in the fact that I haven't been able to find a replacement either.

On the 1500s, an MGB clutch/brake pedal pad fits the gas pedal pefectly.
I am using the hang down 1500 accell pedal assembly on my Bugeye with an MGB pad.

Thanks Frank! Any particular year MGB?

HEY JC, if I have to buy the whole set, which I believe I will, would you like the other pedal? That is if they both have the same shape.
