ABS Warning System

The warning read out remains on even though there are no problems. Any easy fix to get the warning light off.

What year, model do you have? Is the display an idiot light or lcd readout? do you have an error code? Have you tried disconnecting the battery?

poppy: You probably will have to remove each wheel and check and see if the sensors are snug home. They are located behing each rotor assembly where the serrated wheel is. This wheel pulses the sensor. Sometimes you have to clean them with some brake clean as debris gets between wheel and sensor. Check for corroded connections. The wiring to the sensors have a connector for replacement. Check ABS motor for pulsing, have someone push brake while you feel actuator by Master Cylinder. Make sure hydralic fluid is full, the Castrol Hydro fluid for the system which has the ball on it. Order a Haynes manual for that year at XKs Unlimited or an Auto Parts store down under., costs $25 -$30. It will be easier than trying to step you thru the diagnostics on this model. Let me know how it's going. Will try to help. If it is a sensor they are available and not too hard to replace.
