Abarth free flow exhaust system

I was thinking of putting a performance exhaust system on my BJ8 (just for the great sound actually). I have used several Abarth systems over the years for TR's and MG's, but I cant seem to find them anywhere, not in Moss, or Victoria British. Any Ideas?

I have not seen an Abarth system since, well many decades. Had one on my '65 MGB in 1965. I am sure they are long out of business.

There are many performance systems available though. I always liked Abarth but what is avilable now is just as good I am sure.

I have a Denis Welch system (headers all the way back)on my 100M with side exit and love it.

I have the same system on my Hundred except it is rear exit. Deep tone & not really loud. Love it also.

Dave - just curious - how does the rear exit sound? Or I should say can you hear it as the driver? I like the side because it is right by my ear so to speak. Wondered if the rear was the same sound to the driver. My guess it is still loud enough.

And it is a nice sound regardless.

Side exit also makes a great leaf blower!!!

Bruce,
I can hear it but it isn't so loud that I can't hear other car mechanical & tire sounds. I think the 2" dia., long tube improves the sound.

Mark Lempert is working to reproduce these soon with the "Rebarth" free-flow exhaust system. He also makes some of the best looking steering wheels, quality 3.54 gears sets.

and I really loved Abarth systems. Hope they are a faithful reproductions. I would certainly use them.

There used to be a company called Monza that made free flow exhausts. I've had one one my car for many years. I have an old Abarth side exit if you want it Ray. I don't know how it will perform.
