Abarth Exhaust System for Austin Healey 3000 BT7

Hey Guys-
I am 6 years into a search for an NOS Abarth complete exhaust system for my 1960 Austin Healey 3000 BT7. By saying this please know that I know how hard this search is. Many would have already given up. Even more would have folded before the shuffle. I have people looking on 3 continents and I've called dozens upon dozens of the "usual suspects". I've gone deep with Al Cosentino, as well as some of the other key players for vintage exhausts, and I still suffer from a terrible Abarth jones. I need an Abarth for my AH 3000 because I want to complete the restoration of my Dad's car. I want to bring it back to what it was when I was a kid. When I was a little leaguer my Dad shuttled me and my brother to practice in this very 3000 and the sweet sound of that Abarth is like mother's milk to my childhood. I can't do this alone. I need your help. Please let me know if you have a lead I can follow up on. If you have a system to sell I am very interested. These are rare... I get that... but I also know that somewhere an NOS one exists. Nobody on Earth today has looked harder than me.

I would highly recommend calling Sports and Classics and purchasing the NOS Abarth exhaust system that he's been squirreling away for years. I have a BT7 so it won't fit my needs. If I had a BJ8 I would have bought this set up 5 years ago.

Sorry Johnny I am not sure that I get your point here? Help me understand why you'd do this? I try to help someone out, looking for a BJ8 exhaust system, so you quote that here where I am looking for a BT7 system? I am the same person recommending that BJ8 system, no question there, but the BT7 and the BJ8 Abarths are different.

Isn't an Ansa essentially the same as an Abarth? I thought Ansa bought Abarth.

Good question Bob. My experience with Monza exhausts has been good but both the look and note of the exhaust are markedly different. Abarth is/was far superior in my opinion.

i bought an abarth for my bj8 yrs ago from brad in conn it cost me 900 back then and to be honest with you i'm not happy with the exhaust note its not like an ansa ,i think john has an ansa one from sports and classics,or try gary from hemphills

"I need an Abarth for my AH 3000 because I want to complete the restoration of my Dad's car."

Sorry please don`t angry about me , I cant believe that. For me,it sounds a little bit like a spam.... "I`m a poor boy and I need money for my critically ill mother..."

Be a man and buy an exhaust from a million of aftermarket suppliers, or build an original copy of an old rusty survivor.

Bye michel-who would like to restore his car very original, but on a realistic way..

Mr. Dibbles--

With all due respect please lighten up. No one around here is trying to mislead you or make off with your exhaust.

I don't know whether you have been using your car during your world exahust search but if not and it were me I would certainly not let not having the PERFECT exhaust system stand between me and enjoying the Healey, which never had an Abarth exhaust in the first place! Healey exhaust notes sound good no matter what.

Monza exhaust is not the same as Ansa. The latter is made in Italy, or was. The former is made in Arizona.

I have a Monza and it's pretty racy-sounding and on the louder side. Not as loud as a Stebro SS side exhaust, though.

Sorry I should have quoted this with my post re Monza and Ansa being different.
