MGB AAA Commercial - MGB

Did anyone else catch that AAA commercial?
It shows a woman stopped at (I think) a dry cleaning
place, her generic Blue car parked outside.
In the background you see a White MGB coming down a
hill, with the owner running franticly behind it.It collides with the Blue car, smashing the front of the B.
Next scene, shows woman driving off in Blue car- all repaired.Nothing about the B.Sad.

We should all write AAA & complain!

Start a petition Tony, cruelty to LBCs.

We want a disclaimer before the commercial: "No LBCs were harmed in the filming."

Maybe it was a stunt LBC, perhaps a body double? Maybe they put in a Spitfire for the MG's collision scene? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif (Disclaimer: I've nothing at all against Spitfires.)

grrrrrrrrr

*forms an angry RB mob outside of Steve_S' house, all wielding flaming rubber bumpers*

For some reason, I had a vision in my head of one of those medieval battles...except that instead of swords, one side wielding flaming rubber bumpers and the other, chrome bumpers. I need sleep...

I hope it was at least a rubber bumper B! (runs and hides from the RB mob)

I am sure Steve was only referring to the fact that the rubber bumper would better protect the vehicle and that the added height would enable the B to be able to damage the other vehile without sustaining significant damage. That is what the government told us in 1974 anyhow /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Not to mention that the rubber bumper would better protect those who wield it in flames...

I'd rather be beaten with a 100-pound flaming MGB rubber bumper than a 30-pound flaming MGB steel bumper. Flaming steel is really hot!

So, now we're flaming one aonther?

Not flaming each other, Tony...we're just setting our bumpers on fire...

Women's lib had the 'burning our bras' movement...I guess MGaholics lib is 'burning our bumpers.'

Hey, I like my bumpers! I'm not burning anything. But I can't blame you rubber bumper folk for burning yours.

Jeez, I can't help it! Hehehe!

A long time ago, on an MG board far, far away...

BUMPER WARS!!! *cue theme music*
